Green Action Day

Hello,

I am pleased to announce Wesham's first Green Action Day. The Conservative Party are organising a litter pick around the Derby Road Area of Wesham and you're invited. The date is Sunday 4th May at 1pm, meeting at the Council Offices on Derby Road. Many members of the public and council have already pledged support.

Pavement News

From 19th May or thereabouts more of Wesham's pavements are going to be resurfaced. This is after some hard lobbying from myself with the County Council going back some time. This will dramatically improve the appearance of the centre of the Town.

The order has been placed for the new skateboard park. It's going here and you should see work starting in the next few weeks.

Eskham Close Bank.

The bypass bank at Eskham Close has now been litter picked. It's not perfect and I will report that back, but it is a lot better than the previous day as you can see from the bottom picture. Again, more action and not words.

Emptied Dog Bin

Yesterday, this bin was over flowing. After my intervention it has now been emptied a clearer away. I've reported the one on Knightsbridge Close which I noticed needed attention today.

What does a councillor do

I'm often asked what does a councillor do, well today, I've written 14 e-mails asking for action in Wesham and read ten more. This might not seem too great, but it is only 08:10, I've been up since 06:30 and I've now got an 8 hour day in my 'normal' full time job.

I'm not complaining, it's just time management and the hidden side of being a councillor.
